Michael Deutch, Mindjet Evangelist and Mindmapping Thought Leader, wrote a blog post last month entitled “Making It All Work - with MindManager”.  This was one of the best posts I’ve read on David Allen’s GTD (Getting Things Done) methodology.

Michael provides a nice review of the 5 key areas in Getting Things Done (Collect, Process, Organize, Review, and Engage).

He also provides a couple of MindManager maps to help you leverage the GTD process.

To help you with the “Collect” stage, he created a “Mind Sweep” mindmap.  As he put it, “I used MindManager to perform a ‘mind-sweep’, which is a process of capturing everything I’d been thinking about – all my unfinished projects, unanswered emails, unfulfilled dreams. It was a great relief to get everything out of my head and into one place that I could refer back to.”

For the Mind Sweep Mindmap:

He also created a Weekly Review Mindmap to help you with the “Review” stage of the GTD system:

For a more in-depth discussion of the GTD methodology, here is a video with David Allen, the creator of GTD:
