In a post last year, I talked about iBlueSky mindmapping for the iPhone.

Recently, Gideon King, founder of NovaMind (a major mindmapping software company) announced the integration of NovaMind with iBluesky.

Earlier this month, Mr. King stated, “We are delighted to announce the immediate availability of iBlueSky Mind Mapping for iPhone and iPod Touch integration with NovaMind.  In the survey we conducted last month, the request for an iPhone solution came through loud and clear. We have been working with the the creators of iBlueSky for several months to integrate their system with ours.”

As a customer of both NovaMind and iBlueSky, I am excited about this development.  And I agree with Mr. King when he says:

“Having a great Mind Mapping application in your pocket, available at any time is great for ad-hoc Mind Mapping, making your to-do list on the go, brainstorming new ideas wherever you are, taking notes in meetings, and so on. But the real power comes in when you combine it with a fully featured Mind Mapping program like NovaMind…”

I’ve switched to from iBlueSky to iThoughts (http://www.ithoughts.co.uk) as I can import freemind or OPML formats onto my iPhone and take them with me. I think it’s an improvement on iBlueSky in terms of usage too.
